John T. Scudi is the President
of Smart Solutions of Delaware, Inc; founder and owner of
Smart Solutions of Delaware, Inc. John has provided consultation
services to CEOs; restructured niche marketing focus for a manufacturing
corporation by the insertion of information systems technology;.
assisted the primary investor in a major corporate turnaround of
a warehouse and distribution company; acted as President for Dot.com
start up; and; coached a real estate title company though acquisition.
John is Program Manager of the Department of Navy's Veterans Individual
Training Assistance Link to Federal Careers (VITAL) Program.
VITAL trains and develops Active Duty Service Members for
careers in Federal civil service.
Navy Summary
Served as a Rear Admiral
in the US Navy Supply Corps. Honorably retired in Jan of 1999 with
a VA service disability rating of 60%. During Navy career led supply
departments in small vessels such as (LSD-6) and the world's first
Polaris missile submarine (SSBN-598), as well as aboard large complex
stores ships (AFS-6) responsible for food, fuel and material support
for a Fleet. Ashore, led operational logistics staffs at COMSUBPAC
in Hawaii; and at the SIXTH FLEET, personally directed the commercial
resupply from the US and the replenishment of the Fleet using the
mobile logistics support force at sea supporting 56 ships the Mediterranean.
At Commander Service Force Sixth Fleet created the ship's husbanding
arrangements with ports across the Mediterranean. At NAVMAT created
the Logistics Review Group overseeing Navy major acquisitions to
ensure integrated logistics support was adequately planned for new
systems. At DLA directed the Emergency Supply Operations center
for Operation Desert Shield & Storm. As Deputy for Logistics
on the Joint Staff directed plans and resources for regional CINC
logistics including medical logistics. Founding member of the Joint
Requirements Oversight Council (JROC) while at the JCS. Served on
major decision boards: Defense Science Board, Quadrennial Defense
Review, and before the Congress.
