VITAL ™ - VETERAN'S INDIVIDUAL TRAINING ASSISTANCE LINK
The Veterans Individual Training Assistance Link (VITAL™)
is a special program developed by Smart Solutions of Delaware,
Inc. Leveraging existing resources, Smart Solutions of Delaware
develops wounded, severely ill and injured Service members recovering
in Military Treatment Facilities (MTF) to be hired into career
Federal Civil Service positions. VITAL™ was initially developed
for Commander, Navy Installations Command (CNIC) to transition
recovering Service members into civilian employment within CNIC's
IT department (Code N6).
VITAL™ is an employment program for
Wounded Warriors interested in military.
VITAL™ matches interested job applicants
with a career coach to guide them through the training process.
VITAL™ provides Wounded Warriors the
opportunity to grow in a career of choice. Career progression
is clearly mapped out from entry level to mid-level to senior
level.
VITAL™ focus is on the Wounded Warriors.
Accommodations are made to ensure a smooth transition to Civil
Service employment.
The leadership at NAVSEA
hosted the first Wounded Warrior Conference in the Naval District
Washington. The Veterans Individual Training Assistance Link
(VITALTM) was invited to participate in that ASN (M&RA)
sponsored Wounded Warrior Conference hosted by NAVSEA. VITALTM
was initially developed for Commander, Navy Installations Command
(CNIC) to transition recovering Service members into civilian
employment within CNIC’s IT department (Code N6). The photo
